Mill Valley has one of the best record stores on the planet, an excellent library, far too many SUV's and The Sweetwater.  Name dropping is unavoidable once you've been inside and seen the music industry memorabilia on the walls of this pub.  Only two ways inbound ... you're either driving North from the Interstate 101 and have taken the Mill Valley, Stinson Beach exit or you're driving South and have gone over the brow of the hill after Corte Madera and taken the Tiburon (left at the lights)  / Mill Valley (right at the lights) exit.  Going Northward, you wind around Shoreline, pass the Holiday Inn Express,  ignore the left turn to Stinson Beach, Muir Woods which is Highway 1 and find yourself on Miller Street.  Note the Spanish style buildings of Tamalpais High School as you pass - and keep going until its obvious you're at the town center.   Southward, the road becomes Blithesdale and we require you to note Mill Valley Music Store on the right and then turn left into Throckmorton.  By either route you're within 5 minutes walk of The Sweetwater at this point.
