California Highway 1 co-exists with the Interstate 101 over the Golden Gate Bridge, while further South on the peninsula it coincides with a small portion of the Interstate 280 and then 19th Avenue shortly after Daly City.  Between the bridge approaches on the Presidio and the connection to 19th Avenue intersecting the Golden Gate Park, one of the main roads crossing East / West is Geary Street.  Driving from the South, you can turn right onto Geary - but if you're coming South from the North Bay you are not allowed to make a left - so cross over Geary and turn right at the next intersection - then right twice more!.  Now you're travelling due East on Geary Street for a couple of miles and when you see signs for Masonic you'd better slow down or you'll miss your turn for the Boom Boom Room on Fillmore Street.  Its on the North West corner of Geary and Fillmore but if you spot any parking on the side roads within a block or two - then grab it! Yes ~ that street name is probably quite familiar to you, you're also very close to "The Fillmore" and a major movie theatre.  The Boom Boom Room is a comfortable place with a great atmosphere for listening to The Blues.
