Northanger Abbey

A read for the reader, Northanger Abbey both emulates and mocks the Gothic romance novels popular at the time it was written.  Catherine Morland is the memorable heroine who enters Bath society and, amid much confusion, finds love and a new life which she then proceeds to make even more interesting with her active imagination.
